Meet your therapist

A practice built around the courage to be known

Dr. Marjorie Wynn, a clinical psychologist, started Whisper Therapy for people who think before they speak and feel more than they say. She believes therapy works when it feels less like being analyzed and more like being accompanied, with patience, honesty and respect for what you already know about yourself.

Her work draws on relational psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, somatic work and attachment research. Rather than follow one protocol, she listens for what your mind, body and relationships are telling her, and shapes the work around your history, your pace and what you want from it.

Whisper Therapy is a small private practice in San Francisco's Pacific Heights. Sessions are in the office or by video for clients in California, where Dr. Wynn is licensed. Each person's experience is different, and results vary.

Values That Guide the Work

Therapy at Whisper rests on a few steady commitments that shape how we listen, work together and make room for change.

  • Pace before insight

Feeling settled comes first. We move at a speed that keeps you present and in choice.

  • Curiosity, not judgment

Symptoms are treated as meaningful adaptations, not flaws. Together we listen for what they have been protecting.

  • Integration over perfection

The aim is a more flexible, kinder relationship with yourself, not a polished life without difficulty.

How We Work Together

The work is collaborative and plain-spoken, with enough structure to feel steady and enough room for what matters most to surface.

  1. 01

Step 1: Begin with a message

A few written lines give us room to understand what you are looking for and whether Dr. Wynn's approach feels right.

  2. 02

Step 2: Build a shared map

Early sessions connect what brings you in now with the patterns, relationships and experiences that shaped it.

  3. 03

Step 3: Work at your pace

Conversation, EMDR, somatic awareness and practical experiments are introduced as they fit, not by formula.

  4. 04

Step 4: Carry it into daily life

We notice what is shifting, practice new ways of responding, and check that the work reaches your days.
