Therapy for people who feel deeply and speak softly

Dr. Marjorie Wynn sees introverted and highly sensitive adults one on one in San Francisco, in the office or by video, at a pace you set.

Three ways to begin

Start the way that takes the least effort. Each one leads to the same quiet room.

  • Begin in writing

Send a few lines in your own words. Dr. Wynn answers by email, and nothing is asked of you beyond what you choose to share. When you are ready, you book a first session.

  • Begin by video

Meet from a room of your own, if you are in California, where Dr. Wynn is licensed. Some people find the first sentence easier to say from home.

How we work

Quiet is not empty. A good deal of the work happens in it, so we leave room for it.

  • Stillness

Silence is welcome here. You never have to fill it.

  • Presence

Dr. Wynn meets you as you are today, whether you are tired, guarded or unsure of anything.

  • Pace

You set the speed, and we go slowly where slow is needed.

The first weeks

No forms to fill in the room and no homework. This is the order things happen in.

  • You write

A few lines are enough. Dr. Wynn replies by email.

  • You choose how to meet

The office or video, at the time of day that suits you.

  • The first session

A conversation, not an exam. You say what you want from the time, in as many or as few words as you like.

  • Finding the pace

Together you decide how often to meet and what the work should feel like. You can change either one.

In their words

“Nobody rushed to fill the quiet. I could take as long as I needed to find the words.”

Janae T.

“I expected a hundred questions. Instead I was asked what I wanted from the hour, and then I was listened to.”

Pieter V.

“The room is soft and unhurried, and so is Dr. Wynn. I never felt I was talking too little.”

Tolu A.

“Writing first made it possible to book at all.”

Lacey H.
